Although the Salvation Army provides services throughout the year, the holiday season is an important time for the organization to build brand awareness. Newsmaker Group was enlisted by the Salvation Army Greater New York Division to kick off their “Stand Together” fundraising campaign. Our efforts focused on the annual free Thanksgiving dinners the organization provided to 10,000 people throughout NYC. The PR program showcased statistics that demonstrated the impact of the recession and communicate points about the Salvation Army’s ongoing efforts. Extensive coverage included NBC News, the Fox News Channel, CNN Radio, AP Photo, and CBS Early Show, among others.
